Washburn and Hesler ledger, 1861-1862.

An indexed ledger containing accounts of merchandise purchased by officers and soldiers, including General Richard Taylor's mess, the army hospital, and the Quartermaster's Department. Account entries list the price and type of merchandise purchased by soldiers and officers, as well as Washburn and Hesler's expense, profit and loss, and freight accounts. A loose newspaper clipping on bread recipes is included.
